Lochee Health Centre is set to undergo four months of improvement works.

The project will see £500,000 pumped into the GP practice on Marshall Street and NHS Tayside have said there will be no change to appointments for patients.

Improvements include upgrades to the entrance and patient waiting rooms.

Shared accommodation will also be provided along with the introduction of a new cancer wellbeing service.

Councillor Ken Lynn, chairman of the Dundee Integration Joint Board, said: “Lochee Health Centre is a vital part of local primary care services in Dundee and this improvement work will further enhance the range of services provided for the community of Lochee.

“The newly refurbished Lochee Health Community Care Centre will benefit patients and members of the community by continuing to deliver high-quality health and social care services right in the heart of Lochee.”
